Investec`s shares fall as profits just creep up after UK branch takes hit

Profits at Anglo-South African bank Investec edged up by just over one per cent this morning, causing the bank`s share price to slide. The figures For the year ending March 2017, Investec managed to generate statutory operating profit of £607.5m – a 1.4 per cent increase on the previous year, but a 3.5 per cent drop on a constant currency basis.
